Well, there's also the other prototype which exhibits the same behavior (and the fact that the code is the same in both protos), which led to me omitting that. But, like i said, I erred in assuming that it was obvious anyway. |

It's been so long since I looked at the old Sonic 2 beta, I wouldn't have remembered. |

thanks, now I can beat eggman in sonic 1. I'm still freaking out about these levels being included.
I've never played with debug on the other betas, I just remembered that you had to hold A then press Start in the retail version. The A button starts the game too, so it didn't dawn on me to just hold it down. But if you enter the debug code and start without holding A, it still to lets you use slow motion and return to the menu when paused. Weird. |

Man, totally rad.
I actually considered posting a topic about early Sonic 2 builds and whatnot on the sixth of Nov, if I'm remembering correctly, but reneged, figuring that it was, for most of the folks on this forum, an old hat.
I also considered posting a topic on the importance of the spiral cut that is implemented into most holiday pork products (nearly exclusively) and how that plays into how much you're paying at the gas pump.
Either way, I'm probably stoked almost totally by all this business, so, I'm gonna go smash this. The Sonic prototype...not ham.
Post-haste, even.
OK for now,

Are the later stages supposed to be buggy and unplayable, or am I just using the wrong emulator? (I'm using Gens+) |

If you press B in the level select to choose a level, it attempts a 2 player mode (ZOMG 2 PLAYER SONIC 1) |

This proto exceeds all expectations. In case people wanna know. SOme hoarder tried to sneak in and buy this cart. Luckily the guy selling it was cool and let these guys get it, since they are the ones who first offered to pay 1,500 for it. |

so... knowing virtually nothing about genesis emulation and having absolutely no skills at all with an eeprom reader, what are my chances of finding someone who can put this on a cart for me?
I know someone for whom this would make a kickass gift. |

I hear there are 2 acts in this hidden palace. I could be wrong tho. But yeah, while the guy who bought this was trying to raise funds for it some whore-der tried to sneak in and buy this first. Hardly fair cause the guy that bought this is the one who did all the searching and buddied up to the right person to even find out this proto existed. |

But don't worry, I left him a huge deposit, he shouldn't be complaning any longer. But I sped things up (took a loan), so don't worry.
PS. If you're reading this, the 'alternate buyer', f*** you hard.. |

From what i gather later in that topic is that the guy that wanted to buy it wasn't even into sonic much either, he likes castlevania. |
