For those of you who can't get the PC88 emulators to work, there are some YouTube videos of the game in action, it covers quite a bit of ground, and the game certainly looks different than its NES/FC and Arcade incarnations.
As for other 'Special' games, there's this page which features the following games:
- Punch Ball Mario Bros (Mario Bros. but with punch-balls)
- Mario Bros. Special (Mario Bros. but with a new level layout)
As well as ports of:
- Chack'n Pop
- Excitebike
- Hole in One
- Ice Climber
So the PC88 has played host to more than its share of NES ports.

Those videos show gameplay up through 7-4. This means there must either be a different dump, or there is a major bug in the game that those who played it happened to trigger (Rob wasn't the only one to come across this, I did myself). |

WOW...level 4-3...one of the toughest levels to figure out (took me like 200 lives), he does a major cheat on by passing through certain screens. Doing it the REAL way requires doing a very unobvious step: There's a double elevator you have to make both sides of which drop off the string they are on, then, two screens over an platform appears. A dirty, dirty, trick. But man, he just skirted right around it!

A couple of those videos he accidentally hits a coin block at the same time he jumps on an enemy, getting both at about the same time. He ends up getting turned into a weird garbled black block. One of those times, , a Bullet Bill cannon is right next to him and each time he gets shot, the Bullet Bill dies! Since he is frozen, he is forced to wait for the time to run out.
So how do you get a hold of someone on Youtube? How do we ask this guy for the clean copy of the game?

| Is it possible to quick save using a PC-88 emulator? I'm having trouble completing some of the stages. It's bloody tough. |

Well you'll have to sign up for an account, and you can message the person posting the videos (I've actually been in contact with the guy who posted the totaka's song videos, I've been hunting in the WaveRace 64:Rumble Edition sound rip for the song, but nothing yet.)

| There's a weird goddamn glitch that when you're going down a pipe, you can jump on the top of the screen if you hit jump just at the right moment... Just goddamn odd. |
